The City of Chicago launched the Micro-Market Recovery Program (MMRP), a coordinated effort among the City, not-for-profit intermediaries, and non-profit and for-profit capital sources to improve conditions, strengthen property values, and create environments supportive of private investment in targeted markets throughout the city. The goal of MMRP is to improve conditions, strengthen property values, and create environments supportive of private investment in targeted areas by strategically deploying public and private capital and other tools and resources in well-defined micro-markets. This address dataset contains additional geographies, such as Fire and Police Districts, Census Tract and TIF Zones, that can be linked to MMRP Permit, Case and Violation data using the ADDRKEY or ADDRGRPKEY.

Foreclosed rental properties registered with the Chicago Department of Housing under the Keep Chicago Renting ordinance.
Prior to 12/12/2022, Owner and Owner Management Agent addresses could not be registered through the registration site so no City, State, or ZIP columns were present in this dataset. Because all previously existing records had Chicago addresses for Owner and Owner Agent, the City and State columns were populated when added to this dataset but ZIP values are only available from 12/12/2022 forward.
The Property Address is always in Chicago.

This dataset includes information about currently-valid building permits issued by the City of Chicago from 2006 to the present. Building permits are issued subject to payment of applicable fees. If building or zoning permit fees show as unpaid, the permit is not valid. (A permit is valid if only “other fees” are shown as unpaid.) This dataset does not include permits which have been issued and voided or revoked. This dataset also does not include permits for mechanical amusement riding devices and carnivals issued by the Department of Buildings.
Property Index Numbers (PINs) and geographic information (ward, community area and census tract) are provided for most permit types issued in 2008 or later.
For more information on building permits, see https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/bldgs/provdrs/permits.html.
For an application related to building permits and inspections, see https://webapps1.chicago.gov/buildingrecords.

This dataset reflects the daily volume of violations created by the City of Chicago Red Light Program for each camera. The data reflects violations that occurred from July 1, 2014 until present, minus the most recent 14 days. This data may change due to occasional time lags between the capturing of a potential violation and the processing and determination of a violation. The most recent 14 days are not shown due to revised data being submitted to the City of Chicago during this period. The reported violations are those that have been collected by the camera system and reviewed by two separate City contractors. In some instances, due to the inability the registered owner of the offending vehicle, the violation may not be issued as a citation. However, this dataset contains all violations regardless of whether a citation was actually issued, which provides an accurate view into the Red Light Program. Because of occasional time lags between the capturing of a potential violation and the processing and determination of a violation, as well as the occasional revision of the determination of a violation, this data may change. More information on the Red Light Program can be found here: http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/cdot/supp_info/red-light_cameraenforcement.html. The corresponding dataset for speed camera violations is https://data.cityofchicago.org/id/hhkd-xvj4.

Beginning July 1, 2017, pharmaceutical representatives who market or promote pharmaceuticals within the City of Chicago for more than fifteen calendar days per year are required to obtain a Pharmaceutical Representative License, under an ordinance passed by City Council in the fall of 2016.
Pharmaceutical representatives must complete an online education session at the time of initial application and then complete at least five hours per year of approved continuing education thereafter. When requested by the Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Public Health, pharmaceutical representatives also must disclose information related to the marketing or promotion of the pharmaceuticals, pharmacological classes, or categories of pharmaceuticals listed on the Chicago Department of Public Health website.
For more information on the Pharmaceutical Representative License, see https://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/cdph/provdrs/behavioral_health/svcs/pharmaceutical-representative-license.html.

Map of 811 Chicago Utility Hit Tickets
Updated
September 30 2023
Views
1,766
Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Division of Infrastructure Management (DIM), operates Chicago’s “One Call” service—known as “811 Chicago.” Per Municipal Code of Chicago (MCC) § 10-21-080, “in the event of damage to any underground facilities, the person responsible for the damage shall immediately notify…811 Chicago.”
811 Chicago records all reported damages as “hit tickets.” This dataset contains hit tickets since January 1, 2020. (Prior to that date, hit tickets data is a less reliable measure of utility damages.)
Please note, a hit ticket does not necessarily mean damage occurred or implicate the parties listed on the hit ticket as having caused the damage. For example, an excavator may report damage they discovered, but did not cause; an entity may incorrectly report the utility that was damaged or who caused the damage; the same damage may be reported by more than one entity. 811 Chicago investigates all reported damages to determine if there was a violation of MCC § 10-21. During the course of its investigation, 811 Chicago will confirm the information on the hit ticket. If 811 Chicago discovers inaccurate information, it may not update the hit ticket. The data related to 811 Chicago’s investigation is not exposed in this data set. Importantly, 811 Chicago does not determine which entity is liable for the damage, and the “hit by” field does not indicate that the individual or entity caused the damage or violated MCC § 10-21.
